Paulo Paulelli (bass), Edu Ribeiro (drums) and Fabio Torres (piano) are among the greatest Brazilian musicians of their generation. Together they form the Trio Corrente,
one of the most successful groups of instrumental music in their country, as 2014 Grammy Award and Latin Grammy Award winners in the Best Latin Jazz Album category.
It all started around the year 2000, when the three musicians were brought together by a striking musical affinity with each other, and since their first album recorded
in 2003 they have gone on to create a modern and personal language for jazz piano trio, deeply rooted in the rich Brazilian musical tradition.
In 2021 the group launched their new album “Sincronia”, featuring unique arrangements for Brazilian greats like Sivuca and Nelson Cavaquinho, besides new compositions.
The trio sounds fresh and mature, which is the outcome of a twenty-year collaboration between these three musicians.
